Castello Di Ama is a dream. Between the beauty of the property, the food, the wine, and the service, this place is hard to beat. We had our favorite meal of a two week trip in Italy here and by far the most attentive staff of any of our stays. Couldn’t recommend more.
We first stayed her in July 2021 immediately after italy reopened to tourists after covid. We had a fantastic visit but had to venture off property because the restaurant was not open every day. Sometimes I'm of the belief that you cant …
Seeking a wine tasting, we walked up the hill to this venue. Two charming people greeted us and made us feel very welcome. They couldn’t offer a wine tasting, but they were very welcoming and invited us into their modern establishment. It doesn’t have old Chianti vibes but there is beautiful views, comfortable couches, contemporary art, air conditioning and a delicious menu of wines. Thank you for being such great hosts! Recommend going there and getting a bottle and relaxing.
I cannot say enough great things about our visit to Castello di Ama. The hospitality we received from Niccolo, our tour guide, and the dining and kitchen staff were unmatched from start to finish of our experience. From the moment we walked onto the property we were in awe at the beauty, and of the history behind, the grounds. It is absolutely breathtaking, and you could truly spend the entire afternoon walking around the property to take in the views and explore the unique art program Castello di Ama has. This program supports artists from all over the world and sponsors them to come stay at Castello di Ama to find inspiration for their craft. Many who stay create masterful pieces of artwork inspired from their time at Castello di Ama and then choose to have the creations remain on the grounds. It is a truly amazing program and adds to the uniqueness of the story the grounds tell visitors. The new tasting room build during the past few years is remarkable in its design and provides guests a place to enjoy the magical wines produced all on the estate while taking in the views of the Tuscan countryside. If you have the time, do not miss out on the opportunity to dine at Castello di Ama. The dining experience overall, and the service provided by Emily, their Sommelier, and Ernesto, the head chef, was easily a top highlight of our trip. Take the time to stop at Castello di Ama on your travels. It truly is a special place full of people who have invested their lives into the property and the wines, and the people who experience them.
This is a hard review to write as everything was wonderful except for the fee. We had wine and experienced modern art, mixed with food. The experience is slick, polished and very expensive for what you get. For five people we got a 1 hr tour and saw some amazing artist in resident installations. All miracles on their own. After the tour over to a meal on a terrace with a view..... Not just a view....the perfect view. Lunch was fine, service excellent. Leaving lunch we discovered that there was more art to find on our own. Disappointed that we had to search out on our own and guess. Again paid a premium and discovered we missed some installations. Over all, the art and view was magical, and the wine was fantastic, but for 800 euro it should have been flawless and it was not.
Very beautiful winery with stunning tasting room and collection of echanting art objects in the village. There is also a historical several hundred year old winery.
At Castello di Ama you can taste not only the recent vintages, but also some outstanding old ones. The wines are amazing btw.
We loved our tour of Castello di Ama! Everyone who works there is so kind and welcoming, and we learned so much about the wine as well as the art that populates the entire area. Our guide Andre even showed us another part of the area after …
We were booked into the winery tour and tasting by our amazing tour company @cellartours - and the experience WAS amazing! This beautiful property has vineyards on site that we were able to get up close and personal to. Set in a very …
